Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PubSchedule's website, dashboard, API, and the PubSchedule Bridge WordPress plugin (together, the "Service"), operated by PubSchedule ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

PubSchedule is a WordPress plugin and connected platform that generates AI-written articles from news signals or topic descriptions you provide, routes them through an editorial review queue, and publishes approved articles to your WordPress site. Article generation can use our managed AI keys ("Platform AI") or your own connected provider key ("BYOK").

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API service token. You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including via any WordPress site connected with your token.

3. Plans, Billing, and Trial

• New accounts receive a free trial with a limited number of Platform AI articles, as shown on our Pricing page.
• Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Agency) include a monthly Platform AI article quota and a separate daily BYOK quota, billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
• Prices, discounts, and included quotas are as displayed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase and may change with notice for future billing periods.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand from your dashboard.
• If a payment fails, your account enters a grace period during which the Service continues to function; if payment is not resolved within that period, your token may be suspended until the balance is settled.
• Except where required by law or explicitly stated at checkout, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that impersonates a real person or entity without disclosure
• Share your API service token across sites or accounts beyond what your plan permits, or attempt to circumvent plan limits or quota enforcement
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to generate spam or content designed primarily to manipulate search rankings in violation of a platform's own policies (e.g. Google's guidelines)

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with notice where reasonably possible.

5. AI-Generated Content — Your Responsibility

Article generation uses third-party large language models. AI-generated content can contain factual errors, outdated information, or unintended phrasing. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving every article before it publishes — this is why the editorial review queue exists, and we strongly recommend keeping it enabled. We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or fitness for any particular purpose of generated content.

As between you and us, you own the articles generated through your account once published. You are responsible for ensuring your use of that content complies with applicable law and any rights of third parties (for example, content referenced from news sources).

6. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

If you connect your own AI provider API key, your use of that provider is governed by your agreement with them, and any usage costs they charge are your responsibility, separate from your PubSchedule subscription. We are not responsible for that provider's availability, pricing, or output.

7. News Sources

The Service may fetch public headlines and links from RSS/Atom feeds you configure, to use as topic signals for article generation. We do not claim ownership over third-party news content and do not reproduce full third-party articles.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — including the plugin code, platform software, and branding — is owned by PubSchedule. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service to you. You retain ownership of content you input (topics, keywords, custom descriptions) and, as described in Section 5, of articles generated for your account.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PubSchedule will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your company's registered jurisdiction — to be completed], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
